Field Operations Manager HVAC – Property Maintenance & Installations – Leatherhead – Leading building contractor – London & SE circa £52.5k + Car Allowance 6k + PHI, Life Ins and more….
Our client is seeking a Field Operations Manager to join them and manage, direct and plan HVAC works. In this role you will allocate resources, maintain services, drive quality and meet project targets and schedules. This main contractor organisation will provide you with a busy platform where managing costs, tracking and reporting on progress is key. All with the backing and support of your regional Operations manager.
A further breakdown of the role responsibilities would show:-
Managing, planning, organising and completing works
Ensuring that variations and other costs are recovered within budget
Monitoring your team including direct in–house and agency operatives/sub-contractors
Manage and oversee the resolution of complaints where required
Guide effective and efficient utilisation of plant, equipment, materials and transport resources.
Administer incentive schemes, and ensure information is processed to meet deadlines.
Drive operational procedures, practices, identifying and recommending change where required
Take risk based responsibility for all Health and Safety in area of service delivery
Engage in continuous development of paperless solutions and use IT systems to manage your area.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and effectiveness within your business unit.
Financial & contractual areas:-
Presenting at monthly/weekly meetings on service delivery, operational KPI’s, H&S report, resource levels, resource plan, Work in progress, completed not invoiced, overdue debt.
Monitoring contract and account performance for internal and external requirements/analysis
Provide quotations and price variations when needed for approval of clients
Deal with financial claims on contracts when deemed necessary
Guide the administration team for building up and submitting interim and final accounts for invoicing clients
Manage recruitment process, conducting interviews and complying HR for new starters and leavers
Monitor and manage unproductivity, sickness and attendance and carry out counselling and hold meetings as necessary.
Instigate disciplinary action in accordance with company procedures
Assessing and ensuring the continuous development of staff, including appraisals.
Review Vehicle telematics and take appropriate actions with respect to driver’s behavior and /or any incidents and accidents
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience preferred:-
You should be City & Guilds/time served trades person or justifiable equivalent
Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years site experience, working within the property maintenance /construction industry sector.
CIOB Level 4 diploma in site management
CITB CSCS Health and Safety card for a Supervisor/Manager
SSSTMS H&S Course or higher
Certificate in Asbestos Awareness Training
IOSH 1-day ‘Working Safely’ Training Certificate (or equivalent)
