A fantastic opportunity for a HR Learning & Development Manager to join a European supplier of fast moving consumer goods.
The Business:
This niche business offers products to a variety of sectors producing both branded and own brand products for a variety of leading names.
Main Role Responsibilities:
The HR L&D role will be responsible for building and developing a learning and development strategy, including policies. Supported by the Head of HR you will ensure L&D strategy meets business plans are aligned to wider Global Attract, Retain and Develop goals of the group of companies.
Other key areas of responsibilities would show:-
- Development of an effective learning and development strategy and policies for business needs.
- Lead on LMS initiatives on design, implementation and manage the Company’s LMS system (currently Cornerstone).
- Work with US colleagues to ensure Global Programmes are aligned.
- Manage training programmes issued to all UK employees.
- Conduct and maintain an effective skills gap analysis to identify needs
- Identifying internal and external training delivery requirements inc new equipment or systems training.
- Partner with the HR Support Manager/HR Business Partner and Department Manager on learning objectives inc where PDP’s are required.
- Support on the education of all EDI initiatives for the UK.
- Management of inductions across the business including, but not limited to, new joiners, transfers and agency T2P’s.
- Continuously review L&D processes to ensure effectiveness.
- Support and development of apprenticeships, internship and graduate programmes.
- Support educational organisations with relevance to work experience activities.
- Support succession planning processes for the business.
- Oversee, support and track training for associates within the Ops/Warehouse team.
- Maintain and continuously improve the training processes and records.
- Evaluate and report upon the impact of development activities across the business.
- Control learning and development costs and budgets in this area. Negotiate better terms wherever possible.
- Managing records for audit purposes and participate in int/external audits as required.
- Keep up to date with new initiatives relevant to the business and be aware of funding opportunities that the business can take advantage of.
- Maintain and develop a resources library which may include, books, DVD’s, computer based training, simulations etc ensuring there is a simple process by which they can be shared with/accessed by colleagues.
- Undertake and provide support in new and ongoing HR projects.
Qualities
- Previous relevant experience in a similar role in an FMCG environment.
- Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification in L&D or relevant equivalent qualification.
- Must be fully conversant with LMS systems, able to write and manage digital learning experiences.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Track record of building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships
- Strong IT skills including, but not limited to learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Working knowledge and experience of SCORM, HRIS and the MS Office packages.
- A well organised team player
Salary, Benefits and Hours:
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm 40 minutes paid break per day. A mixture of working from home and the Office is currently in practice. Some flexibility to work across shifts is required on occasion.
Holidays: 22 days + stats (statutory days and some annual days are designated and allocated by the Company on an annual basis)
Salary: circa competitive and totally dependent on skills and experiences
Contributory Pension Scheme – (salary exchange option + 50% of ER’s NI Rebate given to employees’ pension fund). Contributions are 5% Employee and 4% Employer (minimum).
